Hawthorn Woods is a village located in the northern part of Illinois in Lake County. According to the 2010 census, it is home to more than 7,500 individuals. It is only about 40 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.
Some notable people who have lived in Hawthorn Woods include Dominick Basso, Leo Burnett and Nancy Faust. Pro golfer Arnold Palmer helped design the Hawthorn Woods Country Club.
