Answers to Common Questions

Can I customize size, color, other details?

Yes. However, walnut slabs are a bit of a different animal. Since we are literally taking a solid slab from a tree, single slabs only come so wide. For a useable shape, they typically max out around 30" wide. If you are needing something wider than that, we select two slabs and bookmatch (seam them together) to get that needed width. For a live edge table, you can still select length, overall width, etc. just understand the beauty of a live edge is the unique imperfections/natural look. We have a plethora of bases to select, a few sheen options and you hand pick your own slab among other choices. With this, we will walk you through the selection process so you can hand pick each detail to create your table!

Do you build one-of-a-kind pieces?

Yes! We've had many projects come to life through inspiration images or sketches. With this, we work closely with you to iron out the specifics and each detail. Contact us directly to begin this process.

How do I determine size?

We build our tables down to the inch. You tell us the length. We highly recommend laying the desired size out in your space using Painter’s Tape, cardboard, or blankets. With that, factor typically a minimum of 36” around the perimeter of your table, but each home is different so figure traffic-flow and how you’ll use the space. Keep in mind, live edge slabs, due to their raw state, will have natural curves and arches.

What wood species do you offer for slabs?

Typically we use walnut for our live edge tables.

How do I find my slab?

We will direct you to our supplier and you hand pick your slab!
